Hello All,

We all realize that the leadership and membership of any organization can mean success or failure. We have been very lucky when it comes to both of those things. Our leadership has gone above and beyond as have many of our members. More and more are willing to help as special needs arise.

Our latest contributor, Jim Donnelly (one of our three licensed radio operators) has put together a list of communication objectives that must be accomplished before we can become a fully functional organization. An organization that cannot communicate cannot be of service to themselves or anyone else. We are working very diligently toward a system that would include the Pinellas County EOC, East Lake Fire Dept. and EL CERT. But, no matter what we do nothing will work without you!!?

The number one objective on the list, licensed amateur radio operators, is termed "the life blood of EL CERT".

We can make all the plans we want but it won't mean a thing without your support. It would be impossible for us to move forward without at least 10 licensed operators now with a goal of 25 to even look at having our own repeater system. We will do whatever we can to help you study and get your license. It is not as difficult as you might think. We urge you to help make EL CERT a successful and useful enterprise by considering your option of filling this immediate need.

Please read the list of goals that are of the utmost importance and give some serious thought to joining our communications team.
